What to expect on your hiking tour
It can also be more comfortable – slack-packing is the name. Your luggage will be transported to the overnight stop, often a B&B or even luxury hotel where you will sit down to a home-cooked meal at night. You will carry a day-pack with water and a lunch pack and will picnic along the way.
We also offer a third option. Join a guided multi-day trekking tour or combine a few hours’ hiking with your safari. You will be accompanied by a registered guide and overnight in rustic huts or luxury accommodation. We offer trekking trips in the Wild Coast, Drakensberg and Kosi Bay areas.
Many of our tours also offer opportunities to go on short hikes and most accommodations are situated in scenic areas where you can explore the farm or neighbourhood on foot. If you prefer a day hike, we can add this to your itinerary.
