We are now back in Germany. The overall organisation including our return journey worked out perfectly.

We would like to thank SouthAfrica-Experience for this wonderful trip!

Even for a three-week long trip, our itineraries were quite busy and one would have liked to stay another hour or two at some of the accommodations.

However, this is reserved for a different type of trip and in the end also depends on time and budget available.

This trip was a very diverse journey across a very big country. On our 4000-kilometre-long bus ride and the flight from Johannesburg to George, we travelled through many different landscapes. We had never expected so many green fields, forests and mountain slopes. Africa often triggers the image of desert-like savannah in our European minds. The coastline at the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic was an absolute dream!

All guest houses, lodges and chalets had a unique charm and there was something special about all of them.

We would like to highlight the Greenfire Lodge in the Drakensberg, Utshwayelo Lodge in Kosi Bay, Iketla Lodge in Ohrigstad, Mes Amis Guesthouse in Wilderness and Thabile Lodge near Oudtshoorn; we enjoyed their unique location, amenities and cuisine.

We enjoyed fantastic food throughout all accommodations and cities, whether it was part of the itinerary or a recommendation from our guide. All service staff was very courteous and attentive.

The information and explanation provided by our guide during the trip was good and not overwhelming. Steve is a nature and animal lover. He mastered the long hours in the car cautiously and safely.

This wonderful trip has brought us a lot of joy.
